Apantac, provider of cost-effective multiviewers, video walls, extenders, and signal processing solutions is launching a new family of 2x2 Matrix Switches at InfoComm 2015, booth 3378.

The new matrix switches offer an entry-level feature set and are extremely user-friendly and simple to use. They are designed for classroom and small conference room applications.

For example: In a classroom or classroom environment, the matrix switches work to connect two computers with two displays. We still see plenty of VGA projects in these environments, but there are less VGA computers/laptops being used. A mix-and-match HDMI and VGA solution is proving to be an in-demand device.

In addition, the matrices are designed to address the future of 4K and the legacy of VGA inputs.

Even though they are simple solutions with front panel buttons, these matrix switches include built-in remote control capabilities that seamlessly integrated into popular control systems.

The new family of matrix switches includes five models that routes HD video (1920 x 1080 / 1080P) and 4K/2K video (depending on the model) from two HDMI sources to any two HDMI displays. Two of the models also route a VGA source to a VGA output

The models include:

  • HDTV-2x2H – 2 HDMI inputs to 2 HDMI outputs up to 1080P

  • HDTV-2x2A – 2 HDMI inputs to 1 HDMI output + 1 VGA output with discrete audio

  • HDTV-VGA-2x2A – 1 HDMI + 1 VGA input (with audio) to 1 HDMI output + 1 VGA output with discrete audio

  • HDTV-VGA-2x2H - 1 HDMI + 1 VGA input (with audio) to 2 HDMI outputs up to 1080P

  • HDTV-2x2H-4K – 2 HDMI inputs to 2 HDMI outputs up to  4K/2K

Control of the sources is managed by either manual switching or using an IR or RS232 port. All models are also HDCP compliant.

The new family of 2x2 Matrix Switches will be at Apantac’s InfoComm 2015 booth 3378.
